Shri.M Balakrishna Padiyar has assumed charge as Director  (Production & Projects) on October 01, 2007.   Prior to this appointment, Sri.Padiyar was General Manager, Incharge of the KIOCL’s Pellet Plant as well as Blast Furnace Units at Mangalore.

Fifty six year old Padiyar is an Electronics & Communication Engineer from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.   Before joining KIOCL in the year 1978, Sri. Padiyar served in ECIL, Hyderabad, after his graduation.

n his 35 years of working career Sri Padiyar has served in various capacities in KIOCL. During his tenure, he has been exposed to various facets of Instrumentation Control System to mining, crushing, conveying, beneficiation of iron ore units at Kudremukh and Filter Plant to Pig Iron unit at Mangalore.

His contribution to turn around Pellet Plant into profitable venture by producing quality iron ore pellets from Haematite ore was unique and a great success.  In the course of his work Shri Padiyar has widely traveled in abroad.
