Pelletisation Process

The Pellets produced at the Mangalore Plant have excellent chemical, physical and reduction properties and are an ideal feed for BF and DR. The Iron Oxide pellets conform to International Standards, making them ideal for hi-tech steel plants anywhere in the world. As a result of latest production techniques and constant R&D efforts to improve quality, KIOCL’s products are the choice of quality conscious consumers in India and abroad.

CAPTIVE POWER PLANT KIOCL ltd has two captive power plants. One at Pellet Plant Unit and the other at Blast Furnace Unit. At Pellet Plant, there are three DG sets of 9.36 MW capacity. They are run by furnace oil. Flue-gas desulphurization units have been installed to neutralize the sulphur.
